The entry entitled Eve's Apple was judged from over 5,500 entries by a panel of top
Doctors, Photographers and Editors including Dr Adam Hart-Davis, TV Presenter and Photographer who presented the
awards at the award ceremony.
The ceremony, held at the prestigious Royal Society, London, was preceded by the winning artists finding themselves
in front of the camera. |
The images chosen are ones which can "inspire, inform and educate viewers about
new aspects of science as well as providing stunning new ways of looking at science and nature.
This year, Visions of Science reached more artists, with the very popular new Art Meets Science Award, which looked
for work inspired by science, whether a painting, sculpture or installation. The award ceremony preceeds a UK tour
of the winning art. |
